Lapalala Wilderness School, located within the Waterberg region of Limpopo, is an off-grid campus that educates local as well as national and international students about the local wildlife and natural resources as well as the conservation thereof.

The campus integrates indoor and outdoor spaces. The educational, dining, and administration buildings are arranged around courtyard areas. These outdoor breakout spaces provide comfortable and shaded settings for teaching. Amidst the library and offices, a Boma serves as agathering space, where students gather around a crackling fire at night.

The campus is made up of the main eductional buildings, staff and visitors residential buildings, workshop and garage area as well as the solar farm.

The buildings are of masonry construction on raft foundations on engineered layerworks with rammed earth feature walls and timber roofs and canopies.
